1. Overview

This Privacy Policy explains how Airfoto ("Airfoto", "we", "us") handles personal data when you visit airfotoai.com, use the Airfoto console at console.airfotoai.com, or contact us. It applies to the website, the platform and the API.

By using Airfoto you agree to the practices described here. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.

2. Information we collect

Information you give us

  • Account details: your name, email address, company and password when you sign up.
  • Contact requests: the name, email, company, area of interest and message you submit through our contact form or send to info@airfotoai.com.
  • Billing details: if you subscribe to a paid plan, payment information is handled by our payment provider. We do not store full card numbers.

Content you upload

  • Orthomosaics, GeoTIFFs, orthophotos, aerial and satellite imagery and related metadata (such as coordinates and capture dates).
  • The vector outputs generated from your imagery, for example shapefiles, GeoJSON and KML files.

Information collected automatically

  • Device and browser type, IP address, pages viewed, referring page and timestamps.
  • Usage data inside the platform, such as jobs run, processing volumes and API calls.

3. How we use information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Create and manage your account.
  • Process your imagery and deliver the extracted features and analytics you request.
  • Provide support and respond to enquiries, usually within one business day.
  • Bill you and enforce plan limits.
  • Monitor, secure and improve the performance and reliability of the service.
  • Send service notices, such as security alerts and changes to our terms.
  • Comply with legal obligations and protect our rights.

Where required by law, we rely on one of these legal bases: performing our contract with you, your consent, our legitimate interests in running and securing the service, or compliance with a legal obligation.

4. Your imagery and outputs

You own the imagery you upload and the outputs generated from it. We process your content only to provide the service to you.

We do not sell your imagery or outputs, and we do not publish them or share them with other customers. We will not use your imagery to train models that serve other customers unless you give us explicit permission, for example as part of a custom model agreement under an Enterprise plan.

Aerial imagery can capture people, vehicles and private property. You are responsible for having the right to capture and upload the imagery you submit, and for complying with the privacy and drone regulations that apply where it was captured.

5. Sharing and third parties

We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with:

  • Service providers that host our infrastructure, store data, process payments, send email and help us operate the platform. They may use your data only to perform services for us.
  • Authorities and advisers when required by law, or to protect our rights, users or the public.
  • A successor if Airfoto is involved in a merger, acquisition or sale of assets, in which case we will tell you before your data becomes subject to a different policy.

Our website embeds a product video from YouTube and loads some images from Unsplash. These providers may collect technical information such as your IP address when the content loads, under their own privacy policies.

6. Cookies

We use cookies and similar technologies to keep you signed in, remember your preferences, and understand how the site is used. You can control or delete cookies in your browser settings. Blocking essential cookies may stop parts of the console from working.

7. Data retention

We keep account data while your account is active and for a reasonable period afterwards to meet legal, tax and accounting requirements. Uploaded imagery and generated outputs are kept until you delete them or close your account, after which we remove them from our systems within a reasonable period, except where we must keep a copy by law. Contact form messages are kept for as long as needed to handle your enquiry.

8. Security

We use technical and organisational measures to protect your data, including encryption in transit, access controls and monitoring. No system is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. Please use a strong, unique password and keep your credentials private.

9. International transfers

Our providers may store or process data in countries other than your own. Where we transfer personal data across borders, we take steps to ensure it remains protected in line with applicable data protection law, such as contractual safeguards with our providers.

10. Your rights

Depending on where you live, including under Ghana's Data Protection Act, 2012 (Act 843) and, where it applies, the GDPR, you may have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you.
  • Correct inaccurate or incomplete data.
  • Request deletion of your data.
  • Object to or restrict certain processing, or withdraw consent you have given.
  • Receive your data in a portable format.
  • Complain to your data protection authority. In Ghana this is the Data Protection Commission.

To exercise any of these rights, email info@airfotoai.com. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request.

11. Children

Airfoto is built for organisations and professionals and is not directed at children under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has given us data, contact us and we will delete it.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we make material changes we will update the effective date above and, where appropriate, notify you by email or inside the console. Continued use of Airfoto after a change means you accept the updated policy.

13. Contact us

Questions about this policy or how we handle your data? Reach us at info@airfotoai.com or through the contact form. We usually reply within one business day.
